Bike accident in southern Kananaskis puts man in hospital

"I can confirm that STAR-1 transported a 39-year-old male patient from the Bragg Creek area with trauma related injuries to Foothills Medical Centre following a bike accident."

KANANASKIS COUNTRY – A bike accident in the Bragg Creek area of Kananaskis Country put one man in hospital yesterday.

STARS and Alberta Health Services (AHS) EMS were called to respond to the Station Flats Day Use area around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday (June 25). 

"I can confirm that STAR-1 transported a 39-year-old male patient from the Bragg Creek area with trauma-related injuries to Foothills Medical Centre following a bike accident," said STARS communication officer Jonah van Driesum.

AHS EMS public information officer Adam Loria said the man was in serious, but non-life threatening condition.
