STONEY-NAKODA – Residents of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation have reported several incidents of suspicious activity to Cochrane RCMP, who are looking into what at least one person on social media is saying were attempted kidnappings.

Cochrane RCMP said in a press release Wednesday (June 26) that three separate incidents that raised alarm in the community were reported over the past week.
According to the press release, motorists allegedly approached young persons walking near the Ozada Flats and Chiniki Lake Road. In addition to the RCMP investigating, the K Division sketch artist is assisting.
"We wish to remind the public to report such incidents immediately and take reasonable precautions to ensure pedestrian safety, especially involving young persons," wrote the RCMP.
