PHOTOS: Annual Turkey Trot keeps Thanksgiving tradition going

“The idea is to try and build a more cross-curricular approach. You are bringing these different fields together to have a practical approach. When you start in some of your core courses like chemistry, biology or physics, that is when you tie in some of the environmental stewardship, which is your STEM component.”

There’s a lot more we can do based on the funding that we do have for this program, but at this point it’s how we arrived at the decision based on the community research and that we understand what the community needs.”
