Maiysha Glaude-Slavin
Feb 7th 1977 - April 4th 2020
It is with deep sadness that we announce Maiysha's passing last Saturday morning. Mai died peacefully in her sleep at her home surrounded by love and a lifetime of memories. Mother Denise Griggs (Deceased), Father Remus Glaude, Siblings Bryn Hunt, Kiana Martin, Husband Grant C Slavin.
After retiring from professional figure skating in 2008 Mai found a life in Canmore coaching figure skating and later gymnastics when she found a home with Canmore Illusions Gymnastics Club. Maiysha relocated to Canmore from Berkeley California to make a life with her husband Grant who she met while working for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
There will be an announcement made in future regarding date and time for a celebration of Mai's life. Thanks to sisters Bryn and Kiana for their support and trust. Also, to the kids, Jordana, parents and board of Mai's family at Canmore Illusions Gymnastics Club. Lastly to the Palliative team and all the Alberta Health Care workers especially Sophia and Dr Kendra Berrick.
