I find it quite amusing that on page 17 of last week’s issue (March 31) John Reilly desires to see smart justice rather than tough justice.
Then, on page 20 of the same issue, we have a conditional discharge for two men pleading guilty to a brutal assault. Then on page 27 of the same issue, we see an absolute discharge for an abandoned (illegal) campfire in a national park.
If this is an example of smart justice, you can rest assured I will be voting Conservative.
