STONEY NAKODA – Cochrane RCMP arrested two men in relation to an attempted murder charge after a warrant was issued for one man's arrest last week.
RCMP said they've located 21-year-old Malik Holloway from Morley as well as arrested a second 23-year-old suspect also from Morley.
Holloway was wanted on attempted murder charges after an incident on Aug. 4 on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation reserve that left a 33-year-old man with serious injuries.
In a press release sent out Sunday (Aug. 18), RCMP said Holloway was arrested on Friday (Aug. 16) while the second suspect was apprehended shortly afterward.
"Furthermore, on Aug. 18, 2019, a second suspect, a 23 year old male from Morley was arrested by the Cochrane Crime Reduction and General Investigation Section and has charges pending," it reads.
The two men allegedly assaulted the 33-year-old man, but Cochrane RCMP said they cannot release additional details about what occured.
"The 33-year-old victim's condition has improved, was released from hospital and continues to recover from his injuries," the press release stated.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
