During my recent trip to Banff I learned some very sad news, that Wild Bill’s would be closing its doors forever. I was shocked, but mostly hurt.
My husband and I have made it our tradition to always go to Wild Bill’s for supper and some dancing every time we visit Banff. We even had our wedding party there in August 2010 and have had the privilege of having our first dance as a married couple on the dance floor. Wild Bill’s has become my favorite spot in Banff for many reasons: the friendly staff, the great food, and the amazing people we`ve met along the way.
Wild Bill’s will always be a great memory for us, and it truly breaks my heart that it’s closing its doors for good. For whatever reasons the closing, Banff will never be the same for us, especially if Wild Bill’s is closing to make room for some chain restaurant that will never be able to compete with the great Wild Bill’s. I know that when summer rolls around and the tourists come back and they see that Wild Bill’s is no more, they too will be crushed, because I’m sure like us they have had many memorable memories there. We are wishing you all the best in the months ahead, and sending good fortune your way.
