“It’s by far the most efficient building we’ve ever built by a factor of four or five depending which building you compare it to,” said Michael Hay, manager of environment for the Town of Banff.

“I do wish the new model all the best when they take over Oct. 1. They are doing important work but I do have concerns."

A course will be held at the Fenlands recreation centre Sept. 16-20, led by four instructors from the ALERRT Center at Texas State University – the approved training centre by the FBI in active attack tactics.

Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway informed the Town of Banff that a routine inspection of the at-grade crossing at Mount Norquay Road identified work was required to keep the crossing in compliance with Transport Canada safety standards.

“We expect to get applications imminently."
