GHOST LAKE VILLAGE – The 1A Highway between Canmore and Cochrane is closed after a vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon.
According to a Cochrane RCMP press release, emergency services were called to the scene at 1:50 p.m. near Ghost Lake Village. STARS air ambulance was also dispatched and transported an adult male driver to Calgary hospital.
Cochrane RCMP continue to investigate and EMS assisting other passengers.
The 1A Highway was closed as of 3:15 p.m., however RCMP indicated in their release they anticipated it reopening soon.
The roadway was reopened shortly before 5 p.m.
