Most nights, when members of an up and coming band step out on stage, it’s before dozens, or, if they’re lucky, maybe hundreds of people. For Calgary rockers Zoo Lion, that is generally the case.

Musicians Leslie Alexander and Jenny Allen have united for a nation-wide tour of song and good times. Promoting their newest albums, Allen’s Blanket and Alexander’s Nobody’s Baby, they will make a stop in Canmore at the Drake Inn on May 1.

Canmore artist Dan Hudson departed April 8 for a year of residency and exhibitions in Berlin, Germany. “Right now, Berlin is the centre of the art world and that’s the reason I’m going there,” said Hudson in an interview April 7.
