A black bear with two cubs has prompted a warning for Ribbon Creek Trail from the Memorial Lakes Junction trailhead in Kananaskis Country.

“We’re going to be flirting with record temperatures through much of the weekend and into the start of the next work week at this point in time.”

“We did hear about the wildlife fencing through the Canmore area that was announced earlier this year by the province, but all the additional pieces on the 1A were great, positive news to hear when this new website came out in early June.”

A push to look at the formula for the province’s education tax is being made by the Town of Canmore after it was hit with one of the highest percentage increases in Alberta.

“It’s a hunt that is disguised as defending Alberta families against these ‘mean’ bears.”

It's going to be hot outside for the next eight to 10 days.

Construction work at the new biathlon building at the Canmore Nordic Centre has been delayed, according to Alberta Forestry and Parks.

The victim was deceased at the scene and an investigation into the "drowning" is ongoing.
