LETTER: As a property owner and taxpayer in this beautiful town of Canmore, I was impressed that mayor and council decided to step back, pause and reflect on the installation of four electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its July meeting.

LETTER: Like so many others, the fires that have affected the Municipality of Jasper within Jasper National Park have been on my mind since the emergency began July 22.

LETTER: It is the bikers and hikers that tie up the parking spaces as well as park where they are not supposed to. They do this for hours on end as they hike/bike and use the trails.

LETTER: Feel free to add my name to the list of grumpy, old men who live here. It won't bother me. In fact, I'll gladly take anyone on a personalized tour of Banff to demonstrate how we got to this point in time.

LETTER: I vote yes, yes to continue to work together to meet the needs of the community, to be more sustainable, and to find ways to reduce congestion while ensuring a better experience for all. We must keep moving forward.

LETTER: When you have a traffic problem, the last thing you want to do is close down streets.

LETTER: On Aug. 12, 2024, Banffites will be creating a little bit of history.

LETTER: As the fire hazard has grown from green to yellow to red, I have noticed a growing concern about the Banff Avenue pedestrian zone.

LETTER: The Banff Avenue pedestrian zone was politicized long before the catastrophic fire in Jasper, as were ongoing concerns about fire management and emergency planning.

LETTER: A few weeks ago, I sent in a letter to the Outlook in the June 20 edition in response to a fellow Banffite about the pedestrian zone in Banff. And because of that, I got slapped on the wrist for sharing my opinion and my experiences as a long-time resident of Banff by email or in person.
